A Novel of New Amsterdam

A Dutch fur trader sails to New Netherland in search of a fortune, but when a ruthless governor wages an unjust war, he risks his life to save his wife and stop the tyrant from destroying the settlement.

In 1640 - at the height of Holland’s political power: the wealthy Dutch West India Company trades and battles for supremacy in the Americas. Wherever the Company ships lay anchor, worlds collide. For God. For country. For profit.

New Netherland is on the brink of war. A brutal governor claims he is the master of all. A privileged Dutchman is beckoned to the pristine wilderness of New Netherland with promises of power and fortune. Once ashore, his dreams are dashed, and his loyalties are tested when he becomes embroiled in a plot to overthrow the brutal governor and free the land from tyranny.

In 2022, Pamela was honored to receive mentorship on developing a limited series, with Paulo De Oliveira, one of the Executive Producers of Outlander, the series on Starz/Netflix.
